Bikalpa Dhara to contest polls with ‘winnowing-fan’ and ‘boat’ symbol

A delegation team from the party met the CEC on Thursday

A delegation of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh met the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda and submitted a letter to let him mentioning their selection of election time symbol.

The delegation went to meet the CEC on Thursday evening.

According to the letter, the candidates of Bikalpa Dhara will take part in the election with “winnowing-fan" (locally known as Kula) symbol.

It also read that some of the candidates of the Jukta Front and Bikalpa Dhara will take part in election with “boat” symbol as well.

Jukta Front will contest in the 11th general election from Awami League led 14-Party alliance. Bikalpa Dhara is the key member of Jukta Front and is led by former president Dr AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury.

Earlier, the Election Commission fixed December 30, to hold the general election 2018.
