About 33 students will vie for each seat in the upcoming admission test of the first year honours course for academic session 2014-15 at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
The admission test will be held at 27 Centres on November 15 , said Associate Professor and Member Secretary of the Admission Committee Faruk Uddin.
He told Dhaka Tribune: “A total of 48228 aspirants have submitted applications against 1463 seats that includes all the quotas under six faculties of 25 departments.”
“Of them, 600 seats are allocated for `A’ unit and 800 for `B’ unit while 25 each for Freedom fighter and ethnic community, 13 for disabled quota,” he said.
The test under A unit will be held around 9:30am and the test under B will be held at 2:30pm, said Faruk Uddin.
