Update : 23 Sep 2014, 09:46 AM

Bangladesh Public Service Commission has issued the circular for the 35th preliminary examination of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS).

PSC member Mainuddin Khandakar confirmed to the Dhaka Tribune about the circular.

He said the circular was issued for recruitment against 1803 vacant posts.

The 35th BCS examination will be held under the new rules recently formulated by the public administration ministry.

Under the new rules, the marks for multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in the BCS preliminary examination were increased to 200 from 100 and the duration from one hour to two.

The minimum pass mark for viva will be 50%, instead of the existing 40%; the pass mark for the written test will remain the same at 50%.

The rule reads that a candidate with less than 30% marks in the written exam, instead of the existing 25%, would be considered to have received no number.
