The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has included excerpts from the autobiography of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the syllabus of HSC Bangla paper I.
NCTB Chairman Abul Kashem Mia last night confirmed to the Dhaka Tribune that Secretary Broj Gopal Bhowmick had signed a notice in this regard on August 13.
According to the notice, a portion named “Bayannor Dinguli” (Days of ’52) from Bangabandhu’s autobiography has been added in the prose section of the HSC syllabus for session 2014-15.
Bangabandhu’s journal kept during his stay at Dhaka Central Jail in 1967 has been published as “Ashomapto Attojiboni” (unfinished memoirs).
The revised syllabus of Bangla paper I contains a total of 12 prose pieces and 12 poems.
