The admission examinations for Honours courses at Rajshahi University for 2013-14 academic calendar will begin from Thursday, authorities said.
This year, the tests will be held under eight units and will begin with the examination for A unit (odd roll number) on Thursday 9am to 10am.
The exam for even roll numbers of A unit will be held from 11am. Tests for B unit odd roll numbers will be held at 1pm and that for even from 3:30pm.
Rajshahi University Proctor Professor Tariqul Hasan said all necessary measures have been taken to hold the examinations in a peaceful environment.
This year, about 168,224 candidates have registered to sit for the Honours entrance examinations for the 49 departments against 3,600 available seats.
On Friday, tests for E unit will be held from 8:30am (odd roll numbers) and 10:15am (even roll numbers). Exams for D unit will be held from 12noon (odd) and 3:30pm (even).
On Saturday, C unit from 9am (odd) and 11am (even). H unit from 1pm (odd) and 3:30pm (even).
On Sunday, science group F unit exams will be held from 9am and for the non-science from 11am. That for G unit will be held from 1pm.
On Monday, written tests for Bangla, Arabic and Islamic Studies will be held.
