EUDTF distributes certificates of appreciation

Eastern University Drama and Theater Forum (EUDTF) on Wednesday has distributed certificates of appreciation among the amateur performers and student as a sign of recognition.

Nazla Fatmi, a faculty at the Department of English, Eastern University and founder of EUDTF handed over the certificates to the performers. EUDTF arranged the programme ahead of its 5th anniversary.

While distributing the certificates, Nazla Fatmi said: “I hope EUDTF will go forward with the same enthusiasm and spirit it started with since its inception. And it will exist long.”

“Appreciation works as a fuel to inspiration. It’s the pillar to next success. So today’s occasion filled me with essence of importance. I am sure everyone felt the same. Such recognitions should take place every year,” said Irene Siddique, an ex-member of EUDTF and ex-student of the Department of English, Eastern University.

Among others, Sureaya Huda, chair of the Department of English, Eastern University, Md Moniruzzaman Akhand, assistant professor of the English Department, Eastern University, Badiuzzaman Bay, president of English Department Alumni Society-Eastern University (EDAS-EU), Shatel Kabir, assistant producer at Independent Television, Abdul Hai Selim, EUDTF president, Marufa, Bashar, Eva, Sumon, Jayed, Bilash, Junaed and other former and existing members of EUDTF were present in the programme.

The EUDTF started its journey in 2009. So far, it has staged Molliere’s The Miser, Utpal Dutta’s Tiner Talwar, Syed Waliullah’s Sudanga, Selim Al Deen’s Shongbad Cartoon, a dance drama on PolliKobi (The Rural Poet) Jasimuddin’s Kabar, and Manoj Mitra’s Kenaram Becharam.
