Education ministry has not come up with any decision yet regarding the Junior School Certificate and Junior Dakhil Certificate examinations scheduled to be held on November 10, November 11 and November 12.
However, sources within the education ministry told the Dhaka Tribune that examinations might be postponed and rescheduled. The BNP-led 18-party alliance has called another fresh spell of 72-hour non-stop countrywide hartal from 6am on Sunday.
The chairman of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Taslima Begum told the Dhaka Tribune on Friday that they would take the decision over rescheduling the examinations today upon discussion with the Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and other senior officials.
However, rescheduling the examinations after the next spate of hartal would be highly difficult as there would be no date left for accommodating the exams in due time, she said. Both JDC and JSC exams are scheduled to end by November 20.
According to the JSC routine, English Second Paper, General science and Islam and Moral Studies examinations are scheduled to be held on November 10, November 11, ,and November 12 respectively.
For JDC, examinations on English First Paper, English Second paper, and Bangla First Paper are to be held on November 10, November 11, and on November 12.
