88% pass SSC at nine centres abroad

Of the 402 candidates who took the examinations at nine centres abroad, 354 passed while 48 failed

The pass rate in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations was higher at overseas centres than the national average, with 88.06% of candidates passing.

Of the 402 candidates who took the examinations at nine centres abroad, 354 passed while 48 failed.

All candidates from two institutions passed, while none of the candidates from one institution passed.

The overall pass rate in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations was 62.25%. A total of 116,676 students achieved GPA-5.

The pass rate at overseas centres was therefore 25.81 percentage points higher than the national average.

Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon officially announced the results at a program at the Ministry of Education’s conference room at 10am on Monday.
