The distribution of admit cards for this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations will begin on June 15, according to a notification issued by the Dhaka Education Board.
The notice, signed by Examination Controller Prof Jasmine Taslima Banu on Sunday, outlined the schedule for collecting and distributing the admit cards.
Admit cards for educational institutions in Tangail, Narsingdi, Faridpur, Rajbari, Shariatpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Kishoreganj and Manikganj districts will be available from 10am on June 15.
Meanwhile, institutions in Dhaka Metropolitan City, Dhaka district, Gazipur, Munshiganj and Narayanganj will be able to collect admit cards from 10am on June 16.
The board has instructed the officer-in-charge of each examination centre or an authorised teacher, with signature attestation, to collect the admit cards during office hours.
It also directed that under no circumstances should anyone other than a designated teacher be assigned responsibility for receiving the admit cards.
According to the notification, if the officer-in-charge of a centre is serving as acting principal of the institution concerned, the application must bear the countersignature of the governing body president, deputy commissioner or upazila nirbahi officer.
After collection, centre authorities have been asked to distribute the admit cards to all educational institutions under their jurisdiction without delay.
The board has also provided an opportunity to correct errors in admit cards.
Heads of educational institutions have been instructed to verify the documents and submit applications for any necessary corrections between June 18 and June 25 to the Deputy Controller of Examinations (Higher Secondary), following the prescribed procedure.
The notification warned that if any examination-related complications arise due to failure to make corrections within the specified timeframe, the heads of the concerned institutions will be held responsible.
