DU announces undergrad admission results for Arts, Law, and Social Sciences faculties

Dhaka University on Tuesday announced the results of the undergraduate admission test for the Faculty of Arts, Law, and Social Sciences for the 2025–2026 academic year, with an overall pass rate of 7.29%.

This year, 107,712 candidates applied for 2,934 available seats. Of them, 103,611 students appeared for the exam, and 7,553 passed. Among the successful candidates, 4,109 are from the humanities stream, 2,981 from the science stream, and 463 from the business studies stream. Five candidates had their exams canceled.

The examination was held on December 13. In the admission test, Md Shahriar Shimul secured first place in the humanities stream, Rifat Al Rafi topped the science stream, and Md Abir Ahmed Rohan came first in the business studies stream.

Detailed results are available at admission.eis.du.ac.bd. Students can also check their results via SMS by typing DU ALS and sending it to 16321 from Grameenphone, Banglalink, or Teletalk numbers.

Successful candidates can submit their detailed forms and subject preference forms from January 27 at 3:00 PM until February 5 at 3:00 PM. Applicants under various quota categories must collect their respective quota forms from the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Social Sciences between February 1 and February 5, complete them, and submit within the same period.

For re-scrutiny of results, applications can be submitted to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Social Sciences from January 21 to January 27, 2026, upon payment of the required fee.
