Dhaka University has instructed that answer scripts of students with disabilities be placed in separate packets and sent directly by hand to the Controller of Examinations’ office.
The packets are to be clearly marked “Students with Special Needs” on top.
The directive followed recommendations from the Deans’ Committee meeting held on Monday, according to a notice from DU’s Public Relations Department on Wednesday.
University authorities emphasized their ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive facilities for students with disabilities during examinations.
In a related measure, a Syndicate meeting in 2022 approved an extension of examination time by 10 minutes per hour for students with disabilities, following recommendations from the Deans’ Committee and the Academic Council.
