A total of 600,660 students have failed in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under the nine general education boards, Madrasah and Technical Education Boards.
Professor Dr Khondokar Ehsanul Kabir, chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, disclosed the information at a press briefing held at the board conference room on Thursday.
Of the total number of failed candidates, 324,716 are male students, while 275,944 are female.
The results were simultaneously published by the boards of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Comilla, Jessore, Chittagong, Barisal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, and Mymensingh, along with the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and Bangladesh Technical Education Board.
