The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has once again been recognized in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, marking its fifth consecutive year on the global list.
ULAB’s consistent inclusion since 2019 highlights the university’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development, inclusive education, and long-term social impact, the release said.
In 2025, ULAB ranked 8th among Bangladeshi universities, joining only 20 institutions from Bangladesh in this global ranking of 2,318 universities from around the world.
The rankings assess universities based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — covering teaching, research, outreach, and stewardship.
ULAB’s strong performance across multiple SDG categories stands out: 1st in Bangladesh for SDG 5: Gender Equality, 6th in SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, 8th in SDG 4: Quality Education, 11th in SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals and also ranked in SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, the release further said.
As ULAB continues to advance its mission of delivering quality liberal arts education rooted in ethics, sustainability, and critical inquiry, this year’s results reaffirm its role as a leader among Bangladesh’s higher education institutions — and a responsible member of the global academic community.
