Various political, social, and regional volunteer student organizations at Jagannath University (JnU) provided multiple services to candidates during the admission test for the 'C' Unit (Faculty of Business Studies) for the 2024-25 academic year.
These organizations offered services throughout the day on Friday.
On-site observations revealed that student organizations, including the unit Chhatra Dal, Islami Chhatrashibir, and district welfare organizations, set up structured information centers and help desks with bamboo pavilions outside the university center.
Along with providing exam materials and drinking water, they also arranged a token-based system for storing students' mobile phones, bags, and valuables.
Additionally, members of the BNCC, Rover, and Ranger units were engaged in assisting students in reaching their exam centers, finding their seats, and maintaining discipline.
Mahfuz, general secretary of the Jhenaidah District Welfare Organization, said: "During admission exams, district organizations always play a crucial role for students. This time too, we have given our best effort. We will continue this initiative in the future."
Shakhawat Hossain Sakib, joint convenor of the Jagannath University Chhatra Dal Convening Committee, said: "From the beginning, we have been assisting students in various ways. We have provided facilities ranging from accommodation assistance to pens, water, files, and food. Our activities have been ongoing since morning and will continue until the end of the exam."
Abdul Alif Arif, organizational secretary of the unit Chhatrashibir, said: "For today's C Unit admission test, we set up four booths, each providing separate services to students. We are supplying pens, scales, files, and drinking water. In the future, we plan to offer even better services."
JnU BNCC Sergeant Toufiq Hossain said: "Our job is to serve everyone. Since the exams started, we have been providing maximum support to students. We are always ready to assist in any university-related activities."
