The University Grants Commission (UGC) has invited name proposals from teachers, students, and stakeholders for a new fully accredited university that will be formed by merging seven government colleges in the capital.
An official note approving the initiative was issued on Tuesday.
The seven colleges to be integrated are Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Government Titumir College, Mirpur Government Bangla College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Women's College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College, and Kabi Nazrul Government College.
The UGC has urged the public to submit name suggestions via email to [email protected] within the next five working days.
