Following the order of Education Ministry, the agitating teachers of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Monday declared that they would refrain from their movement against the Vice-Chancellor of the university till the investigation of the recently formed probe body ends.
The Education Ministry formed a two-member committee to investigate the movement of a section of Jahangirnagar University teachers demanding the removal of Vice-Chancellor Professor Anwar Hossain.
“We have decided to extend the duration of suspension of our movement till September 24,” said Prof Dr Md Hanif, convener of the General Teachers’ Forum at a press conference before the administrative office of JU.
