Mymensingh Board witnesses lowest pass rate

Madrasa Education Board secured the top position with a pass rate of 93.40%

The Mymensingh Education Board ranked at the bottom in 2024's HSC and equivalent examination results among the 11 education boards, according to the results published on Tuesday.

The pass rate for the Mymensingh Education Board is 63.22%, while the Madrasa Education Board secured the top position with a pass rate of 93.40% among the 11 education boards.

A total of 77,621 students, including 37,453 males and 40,168 females, appeared for the HSC exams under the Mymensingh Board, with 49,069 students successfully passing the exams.

Additionally, the Technical Education Board secured the second position with an 88.09% pass rate, while the Sylhet Education Board led among the nine general education boards with an 85.39% pass rate.

The pass rates for the other education boards are as follows: Barisal at 81.85%, Rajshahi at 81.24%, Dhaka at 79.21%, Dinajpur at 77.56%, Comilla at 71.15%, Chittagong at 70.32%, and Jessore at 64.29%.

On average, 77.78% of the examinees passed the HSC and equivalent examinations held under the 11 education boards this year, with 145,911 candidates achieving GPA-5. The pass rate for the HSC exams in the nine general boards is 75.56%.

Out of 1,331,058 examinees who appeared in the examinations, 1,035,309 students were successful in the HSC and equivalent examinations.
