The results of the HSC vocational, BM, and diploma in commerce examinations under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board were released on Tuesday, with an overall pass rate of 88.09%. A total of 4,922 students achieved GPA-5.
This year, 114,382 students sat for the exams, with 100,756 passing. Of the 82,755 male candidates, 71,332 passed, resulting in a pass rate of 86.20%, with 1,530 securing GPA-5.
Among the 31,627 female candidates, 29,424 passed, marking a higher pass rate of 93.03%, with 3,392 achieving GPA-5.
The HSC and equivalent examinations began on June 30 this year, with 1,450,790 candidates participating nationwide.
However, due to the violence surrounding the quota reform movement, several exams scheduled for July and August were postponed.
In response to student demands, the government later announced results via subject mapping for the postponed exams.
The final results were determined by adding 25% of the subject-wise JSC marks and 75% of the SSC marks.
After a proposal from the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, the Ministry of Education decided to base the results of the postponed exams solely on SSC marks.
The final results were prepared accordingly, and the date of declaration was set by the education boards.
