ULAB’s Center for Enterprise and Society (CES) held a leadership talk with Perfetti van Melle Bangladesh HR Director Muhammad Sabbir Jahangir on May 13 titled “Balancing Technology and Human Skills in an Organizational Context”.

Nujhat Jahan Khan, deputy manager, Projects and Research, CES, ULAB hosted the podcast.

As a leading HR expert with extensive experience managing diverse workforces, Sabbir brought valuable knowledge and insights to the discussion.

With the help of AI, it is becoming easier to manage performance, planning, and promote diversity, he said.

By automating routine tasks and improving communication, AI enables HR to analyze important projects, making the workforce more efficient and engaged.

Ever since AI made its way into workplace discussions, there has been speculation about whether AI will replace humans and do a better job.

Answering the question Sabbir said: “To command AI, we need humans. AI can change the job platform but the ultimate decision maker will be human.”

Muhammad Sabbir Jahangir has a decade of experience in strategic planning, talent acquisition, and organizational development, and has worked across various industries including telecommunications, manufacturing, and education.

The podcast is available on Dhaka Tribune’s Facebook page.
