DU entry tests start on Friday

Dhaka University (DU) 2023-24 session undergraduate first year admission test will start on Friday.

On the first day, the admission test for the Faculty of Arts, Law, and Social Sciences will be held.

Dhaka University Online Admission Test Committee Convener Professor Dr Mostafizur Rahman gave the information.

Professor Mostafizur Rahman said that this time a total of 112,274 applications have been submitted. Out of this, 51,391 people applied from humanities department, 48,834 people from science department and 12,049 people from business education department.

Some 38 admission candidates will compete for each seat in the first-year admission test under the 2023–2024 academic session of Dhaka University.

The exam will be held from 11am to 12:30pm. Out of this, 45 minutes have been allotted for MCQ exam and 45 minutes for written exam.

Students will be evaluated on the basis of total 120 marks in the admission test. Out of this, admission test will carry 100 marks and secondary and equivalent and higher secondary and equivalent examination results will carry 20 marks.

The admissions test for this unit is being held in eight divisional cities, including Dhaka.

The divisional centres are Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Barisal University, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, and Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University.
