Samajtantrik Chhatra Front on Tuesday collected mass signatures in front of Dhaka University Central Library demanding the cancellation of National Curriculum- 2021.
They launched the month-long mass signature program to collect 500,000 signatures demanding the cancellation of the National Curriculum 2021 at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair on Friday.
They claimed the National Curriculum 2021 is detrimental to the generation as it undermines knowledge, science and humanity.
They demanded to not abolish the examination system from grade one to grade three. Written exams should be introduced in every class. There should be a number-based education system not by symbols like triangles, circles, quadrilaterals, etc. Marks cannot be kept in the hands of teachers in the name of continuous evaluation.
The Samajtantrik Chhatra Front also demanded the cancellation of consecutive public examinations in class XI and XII and the decision to register and issue certificates to students in every class.
