The first-year undergraduate admission test for the academic year 2023-24 of 24 universities under the uniform entry test guideline will begin on March 8.
Students can apply online to participate in the exams from January 29 to February 15.
On Sunday, the convener of the integrated admission committee of the group and vice-chancellor of Jessore University of Science and Technology, Prof Dr Md Anwar Hossain, gave this information.
He said: “All these decisions were taken in the first meeting of the integrated admission committee of the GST cluster universities at the University Grants Commission (UGC) conference room Sunday afternoon.”
Vice-chancellors of 24 universities were present at the meeting.
Prof Anwar Hossain said: “As before, the application fee is Tk1,500 and an additional Tk500 application fee will be accepted for specialized subjects.”
He said it the admission test for the “C” unit (commerce) will be on March 8, the “B” unit (humanities) on March 9 and the “A” unit (science) on April 27. The tests for all units will be held from 11am-12pm.
Dr Anwar said: “Thirty will be the cut-off mark. It has been decided to complete the admission process by June 30.”
The 24 universities included in the uniform entry test guideline are Jagannath University, Islami University, Khulna University, Begum Rokeya University, Barisal University, Comilla University, Kazi Nazrul University, Rabindra University, Bangabandhu Digital University, Sheikh Hasina University, Shahjalal Science and Technology University, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University (Kishorganj), Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology, Noakhali University of Science and Technology, Jessore University of Science and Technology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib University of Science and Technology, Rangamati University of Science and Technology, Pabna University of Science and Technology, Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University, Patuakhali University of Science and Technology, Chandpur University of Science and Technology, Sunamganj University of Science and Technology, and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology, Pirojpur.
