Beparitola Adarsha College in Birampur upazila of Dinajpur has faced a unique situation following the publication of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) result.
For the second consecutive year, the college has witnessed that not a single student successfully passed the HSC exam.
In the 2023 HSC exam, all five candidates from the college failed to secure a passing grade. This mirrors the outcome of the previous year, where six students also faced the same fate.
Principal Mehdi Hasan Chowdhury of Beparitola Adarsha College acknowledged that all the candidates were enrolled in the same subject and unfortunately failed again this year.
Addressing the issue, Birampur Upazila Secondary Education Officer Shamser Ali Mondal said that the college does not fall under the Monthly Pay Order (MPO) system.
This lack of MPO status is cited as a contributing factor to the low educational standards observed at the college.
