The Technical Education Board has secured a 91.25% pass rate in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations this year.
Some 149,859 students sat for the exams under the technical board, and of them, 136,751 have passed.
Last year, the Technical Education Board's pass rate was 94.41%
The number of GPA-5 achievers has decreased by 83,917 in the HSC and equivalent examinations compared to the year 2022, which is nearly 50% less than the previous year.
According to HSC and equivalent exam results published on Sunday, this year the average pass rate in 11 education boards of the country is 78.64%
This year a total of 1,374,488 students sat for HSC and equivalent exams from August 17 to September 25.
Of them, 698,135 are boys and 676,353 are girls.
