The entry test of “A” unit for undergraduate students in Rajshahi University (RU) begun for the academic year of 2022-23.
On Tuesday at 9am, the examination of 'A' Unit (Humanities) began with the examination of the first shift.
This exam is being conducted in various academic buildings of the university.
The examination will be held in four shifts.
There four faculties and one institute under “A” unit. The faculties are – Arts, Law, Social Sciences and Fine Arts. Apart from this, education and research institutes also belong to “A” unit.
According to the admission committee of the university, against 1,939 seats in “A” unit, 72,065 aspirants are getting the opportunity to participate in the examination.
Some 37 students are competing for each seat in the entry test.
The examination for second shift second shift will be held from 11am to 12pm, third shift at 1pm and last shift at 3:30pm.
Exams will be conducted in one hour each shift. One hour exam of 100 marks is being conducted in MCQ system. The exam will have 80 questions per unit. One mark will be deducted for every four mistakes.
Proctor of the university Asabul Haque said: "The examination for ‘C' unit was conducted on Monday without any untoward incident. Today (Tuesday), the examination of ‘A' unit is going on. Proctorial bodies and law enforcement agencies are working to avoid untoward incidents.”
The admission tests of “B” units will be held on Wednesday.
