Education Minister Dipu Moni has said the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations may start from the middle of August this year.
The education minister said this in a press briefing held at the conference room of the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations is set to begin on April 30 and continue till May 23.
Dipu Moni said that the examinations will be held on a short syllabus and the number of candidates is 2,072,163 this year.
She said although the SSC examinations are held in the first week of February every year, it was not possible to hold the exams on time like last year due to Covid-19.
The Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education released the routine for all educational boards in February.
