Update : 20 Jan 2023, 03:34 PM

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education intends to publish the results of the Higher Secondary School (HSC) Certificate and its equivalent exams between February 7-9.

Tapan Kumar Sarkar, chairman of the board and convener of the inter-education board coordination committee, on Friday said a proposal has been sent to the Ministry of Education to publish the results on any of the three dates and it is awaiting approval.

The HSC and equivalent exams for the academic session 2021-2022 started on November 6 after a change in the schedule due to the Covid-19 pandemic and floods.

More than 1.2 million students from nine general education boards, madrasa board and technical education board participated in the exams.

The number of subjects in the HSC exams was decreased and the syllabus was also curtailed.

The boards are required to release the results within two months of the exam, so the due date was supposed to be February 11.

Traditionally, the results of both the secondary and higher secondary exams are officially announced by the prime minister.

They will be published on a date approved by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
