A recommendation has been made for holding the admission test of the undergraduate program of Dhaka University for the academic year 2022-23 to start from April 29.
The recommendation was made in the general admission committee meeting of the university on Thursday.
According to the sources of the admission committee, it has been proposed to start with the admission test of Faculty of Fine Arts on April 29.
After that, the date for holding the admission tests for Arts Faculty, Law and Social Science Unit Faculty, Science Faculty, Business Studies Faculty have been proposed on May 6, May 12, May 13 respectively.
Md Mostafizur Rahman, Convener of Dhaka University's online admission committee and professor of computer science and engineering department of the university, said that a recommendation has been made to start the test from April 29.
It will be finalized in the academic admission test meeting on January 30, he said.
Besides, this time the admission test has been named as 'undergraduate admission test' in accordance with international standards.
Earlier it was 'Honours First Year Admission Test'.
Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman said that the important thing in this year's admission test is that the university will admit students to the undergraduate program this time.
Earlier, there was honours first year admission test. The university authority has done it following international standards. This time the admission test will be held in four units, said the Dhaka University VC.
