SSC results: Pass rate in Rajshahi lowest in 7 years

Education board officials said that the Covid-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the pass rate of the SSC exam

The pass rate of SSC examination has declined this year compared to previous seven years.

However, the number of examinees securing GPA-5 has increased this year.

Rajshahi Education Board (REB) has attained 85.88% pass in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in 2022.

The previous year's result was 94.71% pass. 

A total of 42,517 students, including 23,275 girls, got GPA-5 in the board this year.

The board authority has published the results on Monday like other education boards in the country.

A total of 1,95,124 students had appeared in the examination from the enlisted institutions in all eight districts under the board this year. Of them, 1,67,521 students became successful. 

Education board officials said that the Covid-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the pass rate of the SSC exam. Online classes were not very effective. 

However, Rajshahi Education Board Secretary Md Humayun Kabir said that the pass rate is normal considering the pandemic situation.
