Some 86,262 more students got GPA 5 in this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations, compared to 2021.
As many as 269,602 students got GPA 5 this year, which was 183,340 last year.
Altogether 87.44% of candidates obtained passing grades in the SSC and equivalent examinations in 2022, while in 2021, it was 93.58%.
Meanwhile, female students have outnumbered the male students – in terms of pass rate and GPA 5 this year as well.
According to the results published on Monday, 87.71% of female students passed the exams, compared to 87.16% of male students.
Meanwhile, 148,446 female students got GPA 5, compared to 121,156 male students.
