As artificial intelligence (AI) and other forms of automation have become more advanced, they are increasingly able to replace human workers in a variety of roles. This creates a challenge for human resource (HR) managers to manage the workforce and ensure that their needs are met while also using the power of AI.
To face these challenges and explore more about AI and its effect in the HR world, BUP Human Resource and Leadership Club hosted the second season of its flagship event AdventHR.
The grand finale of the competition took place at BUP's Bijoy Auditorium.
The event, which started on March 2, invited more than 452 HR enthusiasts from over 30 universities all over the country to compete and enhance their HR management skills.
Members of Team MixUp, the Advent HR 1.0 winner, and Ishmam Chowdhury, Shikho's chief of staff, explained the event's purpose, the competition format, and how to approach and excel in the HR strategy case.
The judging panel consisted of Syed Masud Mahmood, head of talent and people development at Grameenphone, Khurshid Imbisat Chowdhury, head of HR at ACI Logistic Ltd, Qazi Tafsirul Islam, senior lecturer of strategy and HR at the North South University, Hasan Taiab Imam, head of HR at Bengal Group of Industries.
Also, Professor Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain, acting vice-chancellor and pro-vice-chancellor of BUP, Colonel ASM Badiul Alam, acting dean of the Faculty of Business Studies of BUP, and Zulfikar Hyder, co-founder and partner at Zunoks Consulting were present at the grand finale.
