Bangladeshi ed-tech startup Edutechs has raised $100K in its pre-seed round, led by serial investor Mohammad Maaz and industrialist FK Md Emdad Khan.
Edutechs is focused to put learning management software in every classroom across the country, said a press release on Tuesday.
According to Edutechs, they plan to use the funds to build an app that will encourage more teachers and students to become a part of their digital ecosystem.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Edutechs Mohammad Ekram initiated the startup idea since he saw the potential of digital education in the international market and wanted to incorporate the system into Bangladesh too.
He said: “Our aim is to make education in Bangladesh have a world-class standard so the best and brightest of the country study here and stay here pushing the country to become a world player.”
Meanwhile, Co-founder Farhim Warith Zaman said: “We are making a ‘Made in Bangladesh’ Edtech SaaS solution for Bangladesh and Beyond.”
Edutechs was a finalist at the “She loves tech” competition. They have also bagged a grant of Tk10 lakh from the “Databird Launchpad” competition.
