The Home Ministry has been asked to close the schools immediately, as the institutions allegedly motivate students to become militants, he said at a views exchange titled "Young Change Maker's Coalition in Bangladesh" at CIRDAP auditorium in Dhaka.
"We received information from law enforcers about the Peace chain of schools. None of the schools, except for one [in Lalmatia], obtained government approval,” said Nahid.

Peace International School in Lalmatia has also been closed.
The minister also said no schools, colleges or madrasas would be able to operate in the country without the approval of the government. For now, the Peace schools have been shut down and further investigation on these institutions would continue, he added.
The government investigated all Peace schools when Peace TV was banned in Bangladesh on July 10, 2016.
