National University postpones Masters final year exams

Update : 20 Mar 2017, 11:06 AM
The National University (NU) has postponed all the exams of Masters final year, which were scheduled to be started on April 3, citing unavoidable circumstances. These exams include the regular and private (new syllabus) exams of 2013-14 MA, MSS, MBA, MSc and other equivalent exams. The announcement was made through a press release signed by NU Public Relations Officer Faizul Karim. New schedule would be published within next few days, the press release reads. “Our exam controller has been arrested. He was the key person in conducting the examinations,” National University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Harun-or-Rashid said. “It is difficult for us to conduct the exams without him,” the VC added. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested Badiuzzaman, NU acting examinations controller, for allegedly providing selection grades to a number of NU officials violating government rules. Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque filed the case in 2012 against 13 people, including the then NU VC Kazi Shahidullah, on the allegation of causing a loss of about Tk1.04 crore to the government.
