ADB to initiate IT, Agricultural projects in Bangladesh

An Asian Development Bank (ADB) delegation on Tuesday expressed their interest in initiating IT and agricultural projects in Bangladesh. The five member delegation led by Sungsup Ra, director of the Human and Social Development Division of ADB, called on Professor Abdul Mannan, chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, at the UGC Auditorium and placed their proposals. The projects included a human resource development initiative for IT engineers and plans to set up advanced institutions for science and technology. High Officials of ABD and UGC were present at the meeting.
