Public representatives and education officers in Rangamati distribute free textbooks in languages among the Chakma, Marma, and Tripura students in Rangamati on January 1, 2018 Dhaka TribuneBrisha Ketu said providing textbooks to hill children in their mother languages was an excellent move by the government which is going to encourage education among children of the hill tribes and serves to renew the commitment to developing these groups who say they are indigenous.
Students who received these special textbooks were delighted by the sight of their alphabets in official text printed exclusively for them.
According to Rangamati Primary Education Officer Rowshan Ali, the government will distribute 250,000 primary and secondary level textbooks in ethnic languages in Rangamati this year.
