Mirpur Bangla High School celebrates 50 years

Former students of Mirpur Bangla High School yesterday arranged a reunion at a resort in Gazipur to observe 50 years of the institution.

The alumni also accorded reception to 25 retired teachers at the reunion held at Sohag Palli Resort.

Some 2,000 former students of the school took part in different games and attended a cultural programme.

The founding principal of the school, Syed Abdul Kaium, was the chief guest at the programme and urged former students to work for the school’s betterment.

Convener of the reunion Akbar Ali said the former students cut a cake in the morning and unveiled a publication marking the golden jubilee of the school.  

With 12,000 male and female students currently enroled at the institution, Mirpur Bangla High School is a prominent school in Mirpur area.
