219 HSC examinees’ results changed in Ctg

The HSC results of a total 219 examinees have been changed in Chittagong Education Board  after completion of re-scrutiny process which was conducted receiving the challenges of this year’s HSC result obtainers.

After the re-scrutiny, a total 13 candidates had newly achieved GPA-5 while the number of HSC passed students was increased with the newly 64 passed students, said sources in Chittagong Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.

Besides, the GPA point of 131 students was changed including the 13 new GPA-5 achievers while the number of failed subjects of 24 students was lessened, sources also said.

Confirming the matter, Chittagong Education Board’s Examination Controller Mohammad Mahbub Hasan said the changed result s were published on the board’s website.

“A total 9,961 students submitted applications to re-examine 35,387 answer papers this year while the highest number of challenges went for English subject,” he said.

The re-examine application submission was started on this August 10 which continued till August 16. Each of the applicants challenged for more than one subject.

The re-examine challenged subjects were English, Bangla, ICT, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business Organisation, Finance and Banking, Logic and Higher Math while highest 6,058 applications submitted for English subject.

This year, a total 80,707 students from 217 colleges sat for HSC examination under Chittagong Education Board while 51,243 students passed in the exam and 2,129 students got GPA-5.

The result of HSC and equivalent levels was announced on this August 9.
