Gulshan Model Police Station officer-in-charge Daud Hossain has been withdrawn and attached to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) headquarters.
A notification was issued in this regard on Wednesday, saying the decision was taken for administrative reasons.
The action came five days after leaders and activists of the Awami League, whose activities are banned, brought out a procession in Gulshan on September 11.
