Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and opposition leader Dr Shafiqur Rahman offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in Mirpur.
He performed the congregational prayers at the ground of Monipur High School and College in the capital on Saturday at 8:30am.
After the prayers, he exchanged Eid greetings and pleasantries with people from various walks of life present at the venue.
According to party sources, Jamaat ameer is scheduled to meet diplomats stationed in Dhaka at the government residence at 29 Minto Road from 11am to 12:30pm. Later, from 3pm to 4:30pm, he will exchange Eid greetings with politicians as well as members of the general public.
