Two inmates including an Indian national die at DMCH

One prisoner died at around 1:00 pm, while the other passed away approximately 10 minutes later

Two prisoners, including an Indian national, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Pintu Kumar, 34, son of Alak Kumar and an Indian citizen, and Hashem Kha Talukdar, 64, son of Abdul Salam Gani, a resident of Rampur village in Netrakona Sadar upazila.

According to reports, one prisoner died at around 1:00 pm while the other passed away approximately 10 minutes later. Both were taken to the emergency department of DMCH where on-duty doctors declared them dead after conducting necessary examinations.

Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police outpost, confirmed the incident, adding that the bodies have been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
