The Dhaka South City Corporation's (DSCC) offices will remain open on the upcoming Friday and Saturday, despite the holidays, with all types of citizen services available on both days.
The organization has decided to keep all levels of offices open, including Nagar Bhaban and regional offices, confirmed a DSCC notice issued on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, after a prolonged suspension of services, the main gate of the DSCC Nagar Bhaban reopened on Monday, and service activities resumed.
At the same time, a sit-in program by followers of BNP leader Ishraque Hossain continued.
From May 15 to June 3, all citizen services provided from the Nagar Bhaban were suspended.
During this time, employees loyal to Ishraque locked the main gate of Nagar Bhaban and padlocked various departments, effectively halting all services.
After the Eid break, they resumed their sit-in program on June 15, and as a result, the main gate and other departments remained locked until Sunday.
On Monday, the locks on the main gate and other departments were finally removed after a long closure.
