The Dhaka University (DU) administration has formed an investigation committee regarding the fire incident involving the ‘Portrait of Fascism’ and the ‘Dove of Peace’ motifs, which were created by the Faculty of Fine Arts on the occasion of Pohela Boishakh.
On Saturday at 12:30pm, the university’s Proctor, Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed, confirmed this information to Bangla Tribune.
He said that the five-member investigation committee is headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dr Siddiqur Rahman Khan.
The other members are: Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Dr Mohammad Ikramul Haque; Director of the ICT Cell, Professor Dr Mosaddeque Hossain Kamal Tushar; Assistant Proctor of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Md Israfil Prang; and Assistant Proctor of the Faculty of Science, Dr AKM Nur Alam Siddiqui.
