The driver of a bus of the Paristhan transport service lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn in Banani, Dhaka, and injuring 42 garment workers on board in the process on Friday morning.
Six of them are in critical condition.
Banani Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Russel Sarwar said the bus was primarily used for transporting garment workers and was en route to Gazipur when the accident occurred.
"A total of 42 workers were injured, though most sustained minor injuries except for six individuals in critical condition," he added.
The owners of the transport service are attending to the injured, the OC said, adding that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
