The much-awaited Dhaka University Diplomatic Conclave, an intra-model united nations conference, organized by Dhaka University Model United Nations Association (DUMUNA), commenced on Friday at the TSC premises.

With more than a hundred delegates from Dhaka University, the event marks a significant step in the arena of global diplomacy, bringing together young leaders to focus on the theme "Consolidating Commitments Towards Marginalized Communities in the Post-Revolutionary Reformation," according to a press release.

The opening ceremony saw a welcoming speech from the DUMUNA Secretary General Nowshin Fatmi.

She underscored the urgent need to address the concerns of marginalized communities in the wake of revolutionary reforms. Fatmi emphasized the critical role of youth and diplomacy in shaping a future where equity and inclusion are paramount.

Following the secretary general’s remarks, the Deputy Secretary General, Saleh Bin Anabil, and the Director General Najifa Anjum echoed the theme’s importance, focusing on the role of global collaboration in driving tangible commitments for marginalized communities. Their remarks highlighted the conference’s role as a platform for international dialogue, where delegates can explore strategies to ensure that no group is left behind during times of socio-political transformation.

The conference focuses on engaging in in-depth discussions and working towards shaping policies that can address the most pressing challenges facing marginalized people throughout the world.
