A new organization named "July Sangram Parishad" has been officially launched with the aim of upholding the revolutionary spirit of the July uprising and transforming it into a full-scale revolution.
The organization was formally introduced at an event held at the Central Shaheed Minar on Saturday at 3:30pm.
During the event, the leaders of the organization said that the "July Sangram Parishad" is committed to seeking justice for the July massacre, abolishing the fascist system, and establishing a new political, cultural, and economic order.
They emphasized their dedication to spreading the spirit of July across generations.
The convener of the organization, Abu Bakar Siddique Pranto, said: “A judicial system that delays justice for genocide requires revolutionary reforms. Similarly, the bureaucracy that fails to provide compensation to the wounded and martyr families must be restructured.”
He further added: “The Awami League must be banned, and it is not enough to simply prohibit it. A law must be passed to ensure that no political ideology based on Mujib or Hasina is allowed. Just as the Denazification program was undertaken after World War II, we need a De-Awamification process.”
The member secretary, Md Muntasir Rahman, said: “After August 5, we believed that the political leadership would restore our rights. However, even after six months, the aspirations of the revolution have not been realized. That is why we are stepping forward again.”
The spokesperson, Nafiyul Islam, said: “The fall of Hasina was achieved through the July uprising, but it has not yet turned into a victorious revolution. Under the guise of constitutional continuity, the fascist constitution has trapped the uprising. Our mission is to push this movement towards complete victory.”
