Actors Meher Afroz Shaon and Sohana Saba have been taken to the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) office for questioning, being continuously quizzed on various matters, although the police have not yet decided whether they will be arrested in any case.
When asked about the two actors, DMP Additional Commissioner Rezaul Karim Mallik, who is the DB chief, said on Friday afternoon: "No decision has been made yet regarding them. Detectives are questioning them. Further details will be provided later."
According to detectives, the two are being interrogated at the DB office regarding anti-state conspiracy and other matters.
Until the interrogation is completed, the police will not make any decision regarding them.
Earlier, late on Thursday, Sohana Saba was detained from the Dhanmondi area of the capital.
She was then taken to the DB office for questioning.
DB sources revealed that after Shaon, Sohana Saba was also under their surveillance.
She is accused of involvement in an anti-state conspiracy.
On the other hand, on Thursday at around 8pm, actor and director Meher Afroz Shaon was also taken to the DB office for questioning from the Dhanmondi area of the capital.
