Following the recent conflict between students of Dhaka University and Dhaka College, an emergency meeting is underway between the administration of Dhaka University and the principals of the seven affiliated colleges.
The meeting commenced at 12:30pm on Monday, in the lounge adjacent to the office of the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan. Attendees from Dhaka University include Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Mamun Ahmed, Treasurer Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts Siddiqur Rahman Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Science Abdus Salam, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Rasheda Irshad Nasir, Convenor of the Provost Standing Committee and Provost of Salimullah Muslim Hall Abdullah Al Mamun, Associate Professor and Proctor Saifuddin Ahmed, Acting Registrar Munshi Shams Uddin Ahmed, Director of Accounts Saiful Islam and Acting College Inspector Amjad Hossain Shishir.
On the other hand, the principals of the seven affiliated colleges are also present.
The meeting is ongoing at the time of reporting.
