Following the clash at the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement central office situated at Banglamotor between two factions, the platform claimed their central executive member was attacked and another group claims that they were attacked for protesting against "extortion" in Jaatrabaari.
According to a press release published by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, they have said that a group of "misguided" people entered their central office, and at one point they closed the main gate.
Immediately, Rashidul Islam Rifat (Rifat Rashid), Asad Bin Rony, Naim Abedin, and Ahnaf Saeed Khan, members of the central executive committee went there to 'listen' to their demands, according to the press release.
But, instead of cooperating, they also attacked the executive members. At that time, Executive member Naim Abedin was injured.
Later, when other leaders and activists arrived at the central office, those who heated up the situation were forced to leave the office.
"While some participated in mass uprisings, none were associated with the anti-discrimination student movement on an organizational level," read the press release.
Another press conference was held at the DMC emergency ward by the other group involved in the clash, at 7pm on Tuesday.
