A fire that broke out in a Bata Showroom at Mirpur on Sunday night, brought under control early Monday morning.
The fire originated at the showroom at Proshika intersection, Mirpur-6 around 11:55pm on Sunday, Fire Service and Civil Defence media wing officer Khairul Islam Rony told BSS.
Six fire-fighting engines, three from Mirpur Fire Station, two from Kallayanpur Fire Station and one from Siddiqbazar Fire Station doused the flame around 4:50am on Monday, he said.
The cause behind the fire and the extent of damage could not be said without investigation, he added.
